Where to Look When Facing Someone [Self Defense Tips]
Learn Self-Defense [Get Your Video]
One of the questions we get asked a lot is where do you look when your facing someone.
Contrary to popular belief, looking at the eyes of your opponent isn’t going to help you much or reveal anything on how to defend yourself.
The first thing you want to do is looking at the person’s hands. You want to see if he’s holding any weapon so you know how you can react and what self-defense technique to use.
Another thing you want to look at is your attacker’s body language. Your opponent’s body language will reveal a lot about his next move. By observing his body language, you’re not only aware of your opponent, but you’re also planning your next move.
You’re not just looking at your attacker, you’re also looking at everything that’s happening around him. His facial expressions aren’t going to tell you all of what’s happening. His hands and body language will. What’s going on around him will also help you gauge the situation.
Any movement, position he’s taking or hands that he’s hiding should be something you’re aware of. This is key to self defense. Being aware and alert of your opponent is the most important thing in self defense.
