It’s important to learn how to strike fast in a street fight. Your attacker is not going to be wasting any time before he comes at you with wild punches.

Consequently, you need to be ready for anything against a thug that wants to hurt you. A good preparation and self defense training can go a long way to help you stay safe in a fight.

A great way to add efficiency to your self-defense training is to practice and learn how to strike fast. The quickness of your punches and strikes can play a huge role in your favor during a fight.

The good thing is that you can train how to strike fast in solo. There are 3 tools that you can use for the self-defense training that we’re about to demonstrate.

You can start off with a weight vest and practice shadow boxing. That will enhance your boxing coordination and speed as it adds resistance to your body.

That will work on the explosiveness of your strikes adding also power into your punching movements. You can also work on striking a punching bag or Bob Dummy for maximum effectiveness.

Another tool that can be used are light weights. You grab one dumbbell in each hand and you shadow box all while mimicking boxing movements.

You can work and your uppercuts, your jabs, your straight punches and even round house punches.

Lastly, you can use a body elastic band attached to a wall or door. This will add resistance to your footwork and will improve your speed for boxing movements.
